The Board for the National Association of Elementary School Principals (“NAESP”) will be meeting at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace, Baltimore, MD, on July 8 & 9, 2013. They have invited is to give a preseentation on legal issues of interest to both school principals and memmbers of non-profit boards. The presentation will take plavce on July 9th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The panel will consist of: Judge L. Alden (currently a Pof. at GMU Law School); Alex Hewes, Esq. (formerly with DOJ); and Michael Wuilliams, Esq. (extensive legal experience with non-profits). I will be moderating the panel. (Resumes Judge Alden and Attorney Hewes are attached).
Each panelist-(three panelists, and one moderator)-will give a 15 minute presentation on an agreed upon topic of interest to the Board; to be followed by Q & As. NAESP will take care of all lodging, travel, meals, etc., expneses. The panelists and moderator will meet the evening of July 8th; to be followed by dinner, etc., with the Board members. NAESP has some 21,000 members and is affiliated with a number of other educational groups. The panelists will receive invitations from Ms. Gail Connelly, Executive Director of NAESP.
